GSET Logbook

In 2024, the ABiGS introduced a new logbook for all Trainees enrolled in the GSET program (2022 onwards). The GSET Logbook is accessed via TIMS by both Trainees – logging their procedures – and Trainers approving entries.

The following video guides outlines both the principles of and how to use the GSET Logbook. The logbook will be used from Term 1 – 2024 onwards.

Note: The list of procedures and points value has been approved by the ABiGS. Changes to the list and points will only be made following an evaluation process and approval of the Board.

GSET Points Pending Calculator

An Excel Spreadsheet has been developed by the GSET Trainee Edward Clarke. The spreadsheet can be downloaded by clicking the button below and includes instruction on how to use the spreadsheet. The Spreadsheet can be used by Trainees to obtain an indication of the number of points they have accumulated for the term for Logbooks Entries that are Pending Consultant Review. Please note that the Board takes no responsibility for the accuracy of the points value obtained through the use of the spreadsheet and the official final points value for the term is determined at the end of the term by TIMS when the following conditions are met:

1. Procedures are approved by consultants
2. Rotation is marked as Meeting Performance Expectation

Note that Trainees are able to produce a casemix report showing a list of cases, number performed and points for approved cases through TIMS
