Any trainee request (e.g. interruption to training, RPL, extension to training etc.) must be submitted to your Training Committee for their review. Requests must be submitted by the following due dates in order for your request/s to be considered during particular committee meetings. Failure to meet the advertised deadlines will delay your request/s to the next meeting.

All requests will be reviewed by your regional Training Committee who will then make a recommendation to ABiGS for their review and approval / non-approval.

2026 SA-NT TRAINING COMMITTEE MEETING DATES

• 24 February 2026 – Request/agenda items due 02 February 2026
• 26 May 2026* – Request/agenda items due 04 May 2026*
• 25 August 2026 – Request/agenda items due 03 August 2026
• 24 November 2026 – Request/agenda items due 02 November 2026

*Please note: All requests for the following year must be approved by 31 July by both the regional Training Committee and the ABiGS. Requests for medical or parental interruption will be provided with exemptions to this timeline, provided appropriate documentation is submitted and adhere to all relevant College Policies. Requests submitted after this date will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.
