Fiona Stanley Hospital

102-118 Murdoch Drive, Murdoch, WA

Overview

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is Western Australia’s new flagship 783 bed tertiary hospital that opened October 2014 with the State-wide Rehabilitation Service. The remainder of specialties transitioned sequentially with the hospital becoming fully operational from 3 February 2015.

The opening of FSH formed part of a major reconfiguration of the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS), resulting in the re-design and movement of services and workforce to an extent never seen before in WA, or Australia. There have been significant changes to many existing facilities, case mix and the work location of senior and junior medical staff.
