DIT 2025 - General Surgery Registrar (Non Accredited)
Overview
The Role
Daily management of the Surgical units patients and clinical activities within the limits specified with your clinical privileges.
The Team
Broad exposure to General Surgery including operating, emergencies and clinic.
Rotation through three speciality teams – Breast/Endocrine, Colorectal and Upper GI/Hepatobiliary.
Close contact with consultant staff.
Limited evenings and weekend on call.
The role is well supported clinically with additional teaching and research opportunities.
The welcoming community surrounding the hospital consists of natural scenery garnished with wineries, markets, distilleries and entertaining world class outdoor activities.

APPOINTMENT
Multiple Fixed Term, full time, day worker (with on call) position working 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time), commencing from 3 February 2025 until 1 February 2026
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

SALARY
Medical Practitioner Level 5 – 11 $131,000 – $183,500 per annum, pro rata + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.
ELIGIBILITY
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
