Any trainee request (e.g. interruption to training, RPL, extension to training etc.) must be submitted to your Training Committee for their review. Request/s must be submitted by the following due dates for consideration during corresponding committee meetings. Failure to meet the advertised deadlines will delay your request/s to the next meeting.

All requests will be reviewed by your regional Training Committee who will then make a recommendation to ABiGS for their review and approval / non-approval.

2026 VIC-TAS TRAINING COMMITTEE MEETING DATES

• 24 February 2026 – Requests/agenda items due 27 January 2026
• 12 May 2026* – Requests/agenda items due 14 April 2026*
• 14 July 2026 – Requests/agenda items due 16 June 2026
• 01 September 2026 – Requests/agenda items due 04 August 2026
• 17 November 2026 – Requests/agenda items due 20 October 2026

HOW TO SUBMIT A REQUEST

All training requests must be submitted via the following:

• GSET Trainees: Trainee Information Management System (TIMS)
• SET Trainees: Trainee Management System (TMS)

*Please note: All requests for the following year must be approved by 31 July by both the regional Training Committee and the ABiGS. Requests for medical or parental interruption will be provided with exemptions to this timeline, provided appropriate documentation is submitted and adhere to all relevant College Policies. Requests submitted after this date will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.
