The main aim of the project is investigating how general surgery trainees learn leadership during the GSET training program through a one-off interview conducted by a current surgical trainee. The research team comprises consultant general surgeons, a current GSET trainee, an unaccredited trainee and a medical educationalist.

Are you an accredited general surgery registrar? Then you are eligible to take part in this qualitative study on learning leadership during GSET training.
We are investigating how general surgery trainees learn leadership during the GSET training program through a one-off interview conducted by a current surgical trainee. The research team comprises consultant general surgeons, a current GSET trainee, an unaccredited trainee and a medical educationalist.
This 45-60 minute interview will be conducted over Zoom and will ask you to reflect on your experience learning leadership throughout surgical training.
