John Hunter Hospital

Lookout Road, New Lambton Heights, NSW

Overview

John Hunter hospital has been training Transplant fellows for close to a decade now. We have a well-established training program based on college requirements. All our previous fellows are working as transplant surgeons in country or overseas. Fellows work under supervision of three Transplant surgeons (currently two). There is ample opportunity for one to one supervision as most of transplant surgeries are carried out by Fellow assisted by Consultant Transplant Surgeon.

The Transplant Surgery department gets a rotating surgical registrar and RMO on regular terms. They are provided one to one supervision as one of the two surgical supervisors are on site most of the days.
