PFET Program in Rural Surgery

Regulations

The GSA Rural Training Committee is responsible for managing the PFET Program in Rural Surgery including determining program requirements, trainee management, regulations, selection, and hospital inspections.

Section 1.2.5 of the Regulations states that Trainees allocated for one (1) year to a Training Unit accredited by ANZES, ANZGOSA, ANZHPBA, BreastSurgANZ, or CSSANZ must comply with all Training Regulations, Policies, and Assessment Procedures as outlined by the applicable Training Board or Committee.

Program Fee

Except where Section 1.2.5 applies, the annual Program Fee for the PFET Program in Rural Surgery is $2,500 (inc. GST). A 10% Administration Fee is payable for Trainees not in Clinical Training, or where Section 1.2.5 applies.

Where Section 1.2.5 applies, the applicable Training Board or Committee is responsible for the determination of fees as well as the invoicing and collection of fees. All enquiries regarding fees must be submitted to the applicable Training Board or Committee.
