Australian surgeons’ preferences for management of the open abdomen

Active and Senior GSA Members, General Surgery Trainees, and SIMGs in General Surgery are invited to participate in a Research Survey regarding Australian surgeons’ preferences for management of the open abdomen.

The survey is approved by the GSA Research & Scholarships Committee, with ethics approval from the WSLHD Human Research Ethics Committee.

The survey can be accessed here: https://sydney.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6Lmh1I9YOl1JkFL

The aim of this survey is to develop an understanding of the methods used by Australian surgeons to manage the open abdomen and the adjuncts used to achieve delayed abdominal closure once the indication for the open abdomen has been treated.

We would be grateful if you could complete this simple online survey which will take no more than 5 minutes of your time. All responses we receive will be anonymous and no personal information will be stored. Your responses will be stored securely for a maximum of 5 years and the results of this study may be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. By submitting this form, you are indicating that you have read the description of the study, and that you agree to the terms as described.
