ANZGOSA teaching programme for SET Trainees

Purpose:

A series of lectures aimed at covering the Upper Gastrointestinal and Bariatric curriculum for senior General Surgery Trainees preparing for the FRACS.

Audience:

  • Senior General Surgery SET trainees
  • International Medical Graduates studying for the RACS Fellowship Exam

Learning objectives:

  • Anatomy and Physiology of the Upper GI tract
  • Pathophysiology of diseases of the Upper GI tract and Obesity
  • Management of obesity and diseases of the Upper GI tract

Resources:

Format

  • One-hour live session via Zoom (5pm WA/6.30pm SA/7pm EST/9pm NZ)
    - Lecturer to present PowerPoint on given topic in
    cluding mock questions (40 min)
    - Facilitator to manage questions from participants (20 min)
  • Participants to have video off, type questions via chat.
  • Lecture to be recorded and available on the ANZGOSA/GSA & Medtronic Website.
