GSET - Logbook

In 2024, the Australian Board in General Surgery introduced a new logbook for all GSET Trainees, that is trainees who commenced from 2022 onwards.

The logbook is accessed through TIMS by both Trainees, who will log the procedures, and Trainers, who will approve entries. Below are videos outlining the principles of the logbook as well as how to utilise the logbook on TIMS.  The logbook will be used from Term 1 – 2024 onwards.

The list of procedures and their corresponding point value can be downloaded here.

Note: The list of procedures and point value has been approved by the Australian Board in General Surgery.  Changes to the list and points will only be made following the evaluation process and approval of the Australian Board in General Surgery.
